Champlain Valley Fair, August 23, 2008

One of the first things Sue and I did together after we met was go to the Champlain Valley Fair. She beat me at a midway game, won me a plush rose, and the rest was history. Four years later, we can now share the experience with our daughter. And besides, what better place to take a colicy child than a loud, outdoor fair, full of animals and colorful who-has? I mean, would anyone notice even if she was screaming her head off? Luckily for us she didn't, and it was a fun day out of the house and outside our normal routine.

Mommy and Daddy out and about. I'm looking for the Vermont Sausage Guy and Sue is looking for the nearest fried dough stand.

Bozo says... Hey, who's watching the stroller?

Ella seems unimpressed with her surroundings.

Family picture at the Fair.

Our friends Mary and George were up visiting for the weekend.

Daddy dressed Ella in her piggy onsie in honor of the pig races at the Fair, but the pig races weren't here this year. Booo!!

Besides horses, Ella got to see cows, chickens, ducks and even an emu!

This year's giant sand sculpture was Batman themed.

They even made the bat signal light up.

Daddy and Ella check out the giant pumpkins.
